About This Instrument Tuner

This chromatic tuner uses your device's microphone to detect the pitch of any musical note. It works with guitar, ukulele, bass, violin, or any other instrument. The tuner analyzes the audio frequency in real-time using autocorrelation, a proven algorithm for pitch detection.

For best results, tune in a quiet environment and play notes one at a time. The "cents" display shows how many cents sharp or flat you are (100 cents = 1 semitone). Within ±5 cents is considered "in tune" for most purposes.
