Visualization
How It Works
This visualizer captures audio from your microphone and analyzes its frequency spectrum in real-time. Bass, mid, and treble energy drive different parts of the animation.
- Circular Waveform: Audio wrapped around concentric rings with orbiting frequency dots and a pulsing core
- Geometric Shapes: Nested polygons (triangles through decagons) scale, rotate, and connect based on energy -- with star bursts on bass hits
- Radial Bars: 128 frequency bars in a 360-degree sunburst with mirrored outer ring and pulsing center
- Particle Storm: Hundreds of particles explode from the center on bass hits, drift with mid energy, and sparkle with treble
- Spiral Galaxy: Frequency-driven spiral arms that wind tighter or looser with the music, with orbiting stars along each arm
- Kaleidoscope: Mirrored geometric patterns that create symmetrical, mandala-like designs from frequency data
Controls
- Beat Flash: Screen edges flash white on bass hits for a club-like effect
- Mirror: Horizontally mirrors the visualization for a symmetrical look
- Glow: Adds a soft bloom effect to shapes and lines
- Trails: Fades previous frames slowly for a smoother, atmospheric look
- Press F to toggle fullscreen quickly

Privacy & Limitations
- Privacy: All audio processing runs locally in your browser using the Web Audio API. Nothing is recorded, stored, or sent to any server.
- Microphone required. Your browser will ask for microphone permission. You can revoke it at any time.
- Performance: Runs best in modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge). Particle and kaleidoscope modes are more GPU-intensive. Reduce sensitivity or disable glow on older devices.

Music Visualizer FAQ
How do I use this music visualizer?
Click "Start Microphone" and play music near your device, or use headphones with passthrough. The visualizer captures audio from your microphone and renders it as animated geometric shapes in real-time.
Can I use this fullscreen?
Yes. Click the fullscreen button to fill your entire screen with the visualization. Press Escape or click the button again to exit. Press F for a quick toggle.
What visualization modes are available?
Six modes -- Circular Waveform, Geometric Shapes, Radial Bars, Particle Storm (beat-reactive particles), Spiral Galaxy (frequency-driven spirals), and Kaleidoscope (mirrored geometric patterns).
Does this record my audio?
No. All audio processing happens locally in your browser using the Web Audio API. Nothing is recorded, stored, or sent to any server.
