How to Measure Your Foot
For the most accurate conversion, measure your foot length in centimeters and use the CM/JP system. Here is how:
Prepare
Place a sheet of paper on a hard floor against a wall. Wear the socks you would normally wear with shoes.
Stand
Stand on the paper with your heel firmly against the wall. Distribute your weight evenly on both feet.
Mark
Have someone mark the tip of your longest toe (not always the big toe) with a pen or pencil.
Measure
Measure the distance from the wall (heel) to the mark in centimeters. Repeat for the other foot and use the larger measurement.
- Measure your feet in the afternoon or evening when they are at their largest.

Understanding Shoe Size Systems
US Sizing

For example, a CM 27.0 shoe fits a foot that is 27.0 cm long. This system is standard in Japan and is increasingly used internationally because of its precision.
